Are you ready to go deeper?
In the spring of 2005, youth minister Mike Landry approached Fr. Paul Moret, who was then the Vocations Director of the Archdiocese of Edmonton looking for an opportunity for young adults and some older youth to go deeper in their faith. From that discussion, the existing Holy Hour for vocations was adapted into a renewed evening that would offer youth a chance to pray with music, to hear a challenging message, and to sit face to face with Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.
On the 2nd Thursday of every month, at 7pm, at St. Pius X Church in Edmonton (13072 Sherbrooke Ave- east of St. Albert Trail between 118 Ave & the Yellowhead) we meet for praise and worship led by local worship band Anaphora, a talk, and adoration. Praying with music is an ancient practice in our faith, going back to the songs and psalms of the Old Testament. The talk is meant to make us think and challenge us to grow. And you can’t beat sitting face to face with the creator of the universe. Come and join us!
